Good day!
My name is Andrés Aribayos Hindermann.
I am a Freelance Licenced and ICF-accredited Neurolanguage Coach® and Teacher
of German as a Foreign Language.
I also speak English, Spanish and French.
My best offer for private and corporate customers:
Three-month coaching course for German as a foreign language
Curriculum for a three-month coaching course for German as a foreign language
Format
The coaching consists of weekly online sessions of 55 minutes, as well as learning materials, corrections and availability via chat and e-mail between sessions.
Method
The sessions consist of confidential conversations between coach and coachee, in which material is also used by sharing the screen, but always under the premise that the lively dialog between coach and coachee does not break off.
Conversation and cooperation
All the content points of the coaching process described below overlap within the continuous conversation, which is the actual basis of the learning process. The coach and the coachee each determine half of the conversation at any given time.
Possibility of extension
Towards the end of the three months, a joint discussion takes place to determine whether or not it makes sense to extend the coaching for a further three months. An assessment of progress is also made and possible further goals for a possible extension are defined.
Content
1 Evaluation: What language skills are available?
The evaluation begins with the first contact, which gives the coach an impression of the coachee's German language skills. In the first sessions, the coach gives feedback on oral and written language production and the coachee explains in which situations uncertainties arise.
2 Determining needs and setting goals
The coachee describes the situations that he/she would like to deal with better in German. During the conversation, it is clarified which methods and materials are necessary to achieve this. The amount of time, i.e. the number of sessions and the time available to the coachee outside of the sessions, as well as other factors, determine the goal definition and the degree to which the goal is achieved.
3 Pronunciation and intonation
From the outset, the coach begins with feedback on pronunciation and intonation, as oral language production plays a role in all other language skills that should not be underestimated. The coach identifies potential for improvement and gives the coachee appropriate explanations and instructions for practicing in the session and for working on learning at home and in everyday life.
4 Grammar and word order
The coach presents grammatical topics according to need, i.e. he does not improve errors aleatorically, but starts with those that are systematic and represent the greatest improvement in communication skills with a small learning effort. In consultation with the coachee, a thorough explanation is usually given at the beginning and recalled if necessary.
5 Conversation and vocabulary
The coachee determines the topics and situations in which and for which they would like to expand their vocabulary. Vocabulary, idioms, phrases and expressions are developed together during the conversation to enable the coachee to feel more confident in these topics and situations, which also enables them to use German in more and more areas of everyday life.
6 Presentations and negotiations
Together we prepare presentations that the coachee would like to make and do simulacra with feedback. The coaching consists of continuous negotiation, whereby the coachee learns negotiation skills in practice all by themselves. Of course, we also cover the usual idioms, phrases, structures and procedures for presentations and negotiations.
7 Language improvement in everyday life
As a language learning expert, the coach provides ideas, tips and suggestions for language improvement throughout the coaching session, both in the short and medium term. He explains concepts such as conscious and unconscious learning, proactive reading and listening. He discusses with the coachee how these elements can be incorporated into their daily routine without taking up too much time.
8 Cultural and social integration
Cultural and intercultural topics are always important in the coaching process. German-speaking culture, history and society in general, as well as practical life issues relevant to the coachee, provide an opportunity to reflect on differences to the home country and to think about intercultural communication.
9 Preparation for language exams
Many coachees often want to or have to take language exams in the course of their learning process. As a former Telc examiner, I can prepare my coachees for all exams at all levels. Good preparation for a language exam is an important prerequisite for success. I can also help you prepare for job interviews and other important conversations.
10 Practical help with German language tasks
Throughout the coaching period, I am at the coachee's side for everything that needs to be done in German. Regardless of whether it's work-related or private matters. I help them understand a letter from the authorities, research how to register their children in the school system, get a driver's license or extend a work permit.
During the entire coaching period, I am at the coachee's disposal for everything he/she needs to do in German.
Learn more about me and my methodology:
I am a pedagogue, language teacher and coach, and economist.
Besides German, Spanish, and English, I speak French.
I will help you define and achieve your goals in German, Spanish, and English.
A strong and personal relationship develops between me and each of my students and coachees.
We work intensively on learning the target language. I coach my students' learning process like a sports coach. I don't let up until he or she has fully understood how to pronounce a word or form a sentence. And once they have understood it, I practice it with them as often as necessary.
We work intensively on expressiveness in the target language. I don't give up until I know that my coachee is expressing exactly what he or she wants to express. I say what I have understood and help with words and formulations until my student confirms that he or she wants to say exactly what we have formulated.
We work with images, sound and text. As we speak, I write down the most important things. At the same time, I take minutes and give my coachee an important learning aid between our sessions. Multi-channel learning is the best way to learn: graphically in spelling, orally in pronunciation and visually with facial expressions and gestures.
We work intensively on defining learning goals, planning activities and adapting to changing circumstances. We talk about the context of learning German or Spanish in the student's life and how this influences learning. I help my coachee to describe and understand his or her situation in the language.
We work on the best way to learn the target language and learning in general, at work and in life. My student learns to talk in the language about learning itself, about processes of change that come from successful learning. In German or Spanish, regardless of their mother tongue or English, my coachee discovers new ways of perceiving themselves and others.
We work a lot in our sessions, but we also have a good time. My students and I work together in a focussed and goal-oriented way, but we also allow ourselves to talk about things that are bothering us, just like we do with a friend. Discussing problems in German is a challenge, but it also means that my coachees often surpass themselves.
I have a unique, wondrous relationship with each of my students and coachees. Every learning process is a joy. And if the learning process is successful, then it's fun and you stay motivated. Learning the language goes hand in hand with a deeper process of change that affects more than just the coachee's ability to act in the German or Spanish-speaking world.
